Abbotsleigh is a vibrant educational environment where students participate in experiential learning programs such as Outdoor Education, Applied Learning and Service-Learning. These offer students opportunities to explore new curriculum areas, build skills in leadership and decision making, working both independently and in teams. Abbotsleigh girls grow to be critical and reflective thinkers with a set of values nurtured by our Christian foundation.

Everyone feels the Abbotsleigh spirit on entering the front gates. History abounds in the buildings but the students themselves embody the modern young woman’s outlook – vigorous, adventurous and self reliant.

Integral to this Abbotsleigh vitality are our 150 Boarders. Abbotsleigh is a Boarding and Day school: not a day school with Boarders. Boarders and Day Girls both contribute to the successful and happy mix that constitutes the spirit of Abbotsleigh.

Both Boarders’ and Day Girls’ annual HSC achievements are notable. 60% typically achieve 90+ UAI scores.
