| Ascham educates girls from pre-school to Year
12. It has a strong academic reputation with consistently high HSC results. In
2006, Ascham was the highest achieving non-selective school in the state. 11%
of girls achieved a UAI of 99 or over and 43% achieved 95 or over. With small
classes throughout the School, and its use of the Dalton Plan, Ascham provides
genuine individual attention. Boarding at Ascham teaches girls how to live in
harmony with others and how to cultivate sound academic habits whilst pursuing
a broad variety of cultural and sporting activities. It teaches independence of
thought and action in a nurturing learning environment. |
| Boarding has been a central part of Ascham
from its earlier years and it has one of the largest enrolments of country boarders
in NSW. Aschams 3.3 hectares of grounds and heritage buildings provide an
oasis, only 5 minutes from Sydneys vibrant cultural centre. |
