AT BARKER – BOARDERS REALLY MATTER

We have just completely refurbished our boarding accommodation for girls and boys, and created a number of recreational spaces for you to keep active or just chill. And our School Captain, Brayden Winkler, is a boarder.

Barker’s boarding is unique because we have boys and girls boarding, but only in Years 10, 11 & 12. That means we can treat all of you as young adults and our newly renovated boarding facilities are especially suited to the study and personal needs of senior boarders.

Because brothers and sisters can board, we can create a family atmosphere. Nothing beats being at home, but we try to make boarding here as friendly, pleasant and safe as we can.

Annie lives in the New England area and was nervous about coming to Barker in Year 10, she really didn’t want to.

Now she says “I love it so much, we are becoming really good friends and all the boarders are lovely, including the guys. We have so much fun and there’s never a dull moment”.
