Situated in beautiful Rose Bay and founded in 1887, Kambala caters for
girls from Preparatory (four years old) to Year 12, with boarders generally entering
the school from Year 7. Academic achievement is emphasised and there is a high
standard of tuition with an excellent staff-to-student ratio. There is also a
broad cultural, extracurricular program of drama, debating, music, sport and physical
education. The school's outstanding academic success is particularly
notable as it is one of the few non-selective independent schools. Testimony
to that were the 2006 HSC results, in which 2 Kambala students (out of only 21
state wide) received a UAI of 100, with one girl topping the state in Economics
and another in Mathematics Extension 1. |
| Kambala boarding seeks to provide every
girl with an education which equips her to live and work confidently within a
framework that nurtures respect, initiative, sensitivity, responsibility, honesty
and humility, whilst encouraging each student to embrace the lifelong process
of learning. Boarding at Kambala encourages individual and community growth and
provides greater opportunity for companionship and friendship. |
