Established in 1924, Knox is one of Australia’s leading Uniting Church day and Boarding schools for boys with a reputation for academic excellence. Situated in Wahroonga, 25klm from Sydney, Knox has close bus, rail and motorway links to the city and country. Knox offers a broad range of subjects including enrichment and acceleration studies which seek to challenge and excite learning. We are renowned for our all-round education to develop “the whole boy”, where innovation is successfully incorporated with tradition.

Knox is home to 107 boarders who take part in the community experience of living with students drawn from the city, country and overseas. Our Boarding houses are under the guidance of married Housemasters and Boarders enjoy a nurturing, home-like environment where each boy becomes an integral part of a close-knit family community. Friendships are easily forged as Year groups are housed together. Years 7-10 boarders are accommodated in dormitory-style rooms and Years 11-12 boarders have separate accommodation in individual units/rooms.

Boarders enjoy continual use of our extensive facilities which includes a refurbished sports centre incorporating a gymnasium, squash courts, weights room and swimming and diving pools.

Our function centre which overlooks the resurfaced Knox 1 rugby oval includes a state-of-the-art Boarders' canteen.

In the 2007 HSC Exams, Knox Boarders performed extremely well again with an average UAI of 85.5 and a top score of 98.25.
